Kidde Front-Load Combination Smoke and Carbon Monoxide alarm offers protection from 2 hazards - fire and CO - in 1 unit. Sold under the FireX brand, this AC-wire with battery backup alarm emits a beeping tone followed by a voice warning that clearly announces the danger by saying, "Fire! Fire! Fire!" or "Warning Carbon Monoxide". Adapters are included for ease of install with other hardwired alarms (Kidde, FireX, First Alert, BRK).
Powered by home's electricity in order to provide continuous protection
All interconnected alarms will sound when one alarm goes off
Battery compartment will not close if battery is not installed properly
Voice warning - supplements warning from the traditional 85db alarm by clearly stating the danger present, fire or carbon monoxide
Photoelectric smoke sensor - may detect visible fire particles associated with slow smoldering fires sooner than an ionization sensor
Interconnectable - will interconnect with up to 24 other devices (18 of which can be initiating) including smoke, CO and heat alarms
9-Volt battery backup provides protection during power outages
Compatible with Kidde, FireX, Code One, and Sentinel products
For use with First Alert® and BRK® wire in smoke alarms. The KA-B can only be used when replacing First Alert® models: SA4121B, and BRK® models: 4120,4919,5919, 86RAC with plug in connector, manufactured before June 1, 2003.
