Description
A065 Chinese porcelain tile painting mounted in a wood table, 19th Century. The painting was fromLi Weihan in the Qing Dynasty who birth and death year unknown. His porcelain paintings were not widely known. However, from the Qing Dynasty's five-year (1879) painting of the porcelain plate painting “Painted Shallow Landscape Map”, the skill is extraordinary. It should be the famous porcelain painter of the Tongzhi and Guangxu years. The Mountainous village landscape with figure fishing off a footbridge over a river. Calligraphy and seal mark upper right. Contained within a circular frame, painting is about 12 inches and the wooden frame is modern.
