business check beautifully
signed in black tip pen PSA graded 10!!!!
This signature of John’s and it’s the nicest one I have ever seen in my forty plus
years of collecting.
As you can see John’s signature is large, it measures 4 1/4” across and it’s in immaculate condition.
What’s great about John using the felt tip pen is that the red ink used by the bank doesn’t interfere with his signature,
if he had signed in ink it would have been a different story......The signature is bold and clean. The banks cancellation
stamps are nowhere near the signature whatsoever (see scans).
On a musical note this
check was signed by John around the time he was recording his Imagine album.
MACLEN Music Limited was set up in February of 1965 with John and Paul each owning 40% of the company and NEMS
(Brian Epstein) owning 20%. It served as a vehicle for John and Paul to conduct business and receive their royalties as
well as represent their works.
The check is in excellent condition measures 7 15/16 X 3 9/16
” there are staple marks and a very small crease near the upper
left hand corner of the
check and
nowhere near John’s signature and there’s a blue ink bank notation on the
bottom left as
well as the red ink
near John’s signature.
This John Lennon signed check would look outstanding framed.
This beauty comes with a Grading and COA
certificate
from PSA/DNA who graded the signature a 10 as mentioned above

O is the numeral 0 and not the letter).
