FOR SALEAN ANTIQUE IMPORTANT CHINESE IMPERIAL QING DYNASTY FINE PAINTING EMBROIDERED QIANLONG SCROLL ON BEIGE-GROUND SILK
DESCRIPTION:
Hanging Scroll, of the finest quality golden colored silk with I
mperial emblems,
sprawling vines, vines that at certain points form bats and hand stitched flowers throughout.Assumed to have been painted first by a selected imperial artist, then embroidered by a master embroiderer. The embroidery is fine as strands of hair similar to that of the Su Style. It is very rare to see such preservation in means of style, it is a laborious process and fit by imperial standards. The scroll bears 13+ seals in total, most to my knowledge are of the Qing Dynasty. The Qianlong Emperor's seals are in abundance and all of the period. There are important Qianlong seals throughout, and a poem that appears to be written by the Qianlong Emperor himself. After extensive research it appears that the two small seals side of the poem translate to Qing and Long.Of the 13+ imperial collector seals besides Emperor Qianlong's 1736-1796 seal, there is the seal of Emperor Jiaqing 1796-1820 & Emperor Xuantong 1908-1912.Many of the seals found on this treasure can be found on pieces now in museums, and at one time were behind the walls of the forbidden city. The containing of many Imperial collectors seals, confirms that the length of time held within the Imperial Family was extensive it is important.References (These are all highly valued important artworks of the period with exact seals, however many do not contain as much seals as this painting).1.The Admonitions Scroll many exact seals can be seen throughout, 2.Twin Pines, Level Distance by Zhao Mengfu Ca.1310, 3.Pine, Bamboo, Rock And Spring By Zou Yigui (1686-1772), "Dream Of The Crane Studio" By Zhang Zongcang (1686-1756).A great example poem included by Emperor Qianlong, also bearing many of the same seals would be "The Ten Auspicious Landscapes Of The Taishan" By Qian Weicheng (1720-1772).The Scrolls golden silk clearly shows proper antique aging.Looking at the outer edges when rolled up completely you can see three stages of toning with the center (being most protected from air) vibrant gold. The edges of the scroll, has a very old lining that with age is literally disappearing. The color is maroon like, the texture seems to be different from that of silk velvet maybe?.The wooden rod is with imperial silk attached on one end revealing another Imperial emblem. The other side is bare and has chipped throughout time. The wood appears to be the original wood it shows great age inner. We are basing all described information regarding this rarity solely off our very own extensive research. We are lovers of arts therefore this is our push and drive to investigate our pieces to the fullest extent possible. We advise that you consult with your local antique arts dealer for confirmation. We strive hard to maintain our 100% seller rating we want you sure of your purchase, happy & proud.
In our opinion there is a strong belief that this piece is of the Qing Dynasty according to the marks, quality of silk, aging, and style of this painting/embroidery.But as we all know many pieces were marked to celebrate a specific period before the current, therefore making it very hard at times to date a certain piece. We expect that you as the collector will notice this piece for what it is Please Bid Accordingly. We have more pictures, since ebay only allows for 12 photos each post we tried our best to include photos with most important detail. We have no issue sending you the potential buyer all photos in our records. All photos must be sent using ebay messaging only.No outbound photos can be sent to a personal email at your request as this goes against ebay's policy.
