    Description

This auction is for a medium size pair of framed Chinese water colors on pith paper paintings each depicts similar subject featuring a lady playing a traditional Chinese musical instrument in nicely furnished interior.  The works obviously done by good Cantonese artist/s. They both are framed with painted wood frames.  Circa second half of 19th C.
    Dimensions: 10 1/4" H x 7" W each - image only. With frame: 14" H x 10 1/2" W
Condition:  some wrinkling seen on the images probably due framing.  The painting with the lady playing trumpet has two splits - one at the flower vase and the other at the side of the table (see closeup photo # 4 with red arrow pointers).  Both frames have bruises along the edges.
Net weight of the pair:  3 pounds and 8 ounces.
    Shipping will be USPS priority.
