Attributed to Zha Shibiao, this work is more probably typical of his later style
"considered to have had a more moist and expressive feel than those of Hong Ren"
(Wikipedia). This spring landscape certainly displays a cheerful approach, communicating the pleasure of the artist in rendering the elegance of each tree and allowing colour to play an important role in the overall effect, contrary to other members of the Anhui School, such as Hongren.
An inscription, with two seals and a signature, are attributed to this
artist.
There are also five collectors' seals.
