    Description

    This auction features a superb hand-painted Chinese hanging scroll, exquisitely hand-painted on silk panels, depicting red-crested cranes descending on a tumultuous ocean against a setting sun. It measures 70" tall by 27" wide.
    The title reads: 壽天福海 - "Longevity as heaven, blessings as the sea."
    The previous owner told me that he purchased it in 1988 in Guilin at a small market gathering, while he was studying abroad in China. Fantastic piece, painted by an experienced artist.
