    Description

    The Beatles brilliantly signed Please
Please Me Parlophone PMC 1202 1963 signed on the back cover in blue ink by John Lennon who added XXX, George Harrison XXX, Ringo Starr XXX and
Paul McCartney who added and nice long dedication “To Geraldine + Colleen love from The Beatles"
and also added the XXX’s for love.
It’s extremely hard to find authentically signed Beatles albums in decent condition, they are
    highly
    coveted
in any condition and this one
though not immaculate, it's in very nice presentable condition with no contrast issues with the signatures and it has perfect signature placement!
A must have for Beatles collectors and a solid investment that will only rise in value as the market for signed Beatles items have
    sky rocketed.
Signed Beatles albums by all four Beatles are highly sought after, there are roughly 75 signed Please Please
    Me albums known to exist.
This authentic signed Please Please Me album comes with impeccable provenance.
The autographs were obtained backstage at the Finsbury Park Astoria by a London Metropolitan
    Police
officer for his daughters whilst he was providing
for The Beatles backstage at the venue during
their 16 night run of Christmas performances, that ran from December 24th 1963 till January the 11th 1964.
This comes with a handwritten letter of provenance from Geraldine, one of the daughters who this Please Please Me album was signed for, which reads:
"The following are my recollections of the Beatles record and concert.
Dad was a Police Sargent who was responsible for the security of the Beatles when they were
in concert at the Finsbury Park Astoria in 1964.
During the time that he was in charge of their security Dad got to know them well and liked them very much. He said they were really nice guys.
On one occasion he was joking with George Harrison and said I don’t believe you can play that guitar and played (George) the National Anthem. Dad was impressed.
Before the start of the concert Dad mentioned that his twin daughters were in the audience. During the interval the Beatles sent a signed box of chocolates addressed to Geraldine and
Colleen as a gift from them, which was very exciting.
After the concert we were invited back stage to meet the Beatles, but unfortunately {we} were
unable take them up on their invitation as we had younger siblings with us and Mum was
anxious to get them home as Dad was on duty.
When Dad came home that night he brought back the Please Please me record signed by all
of the Beatles, which was out 16th birthday present.
The Beatles gave dad a lot of memorabilia including a signed drumstick from Ringo, but
unfortunately all of these items have been lost over time.
    Signed

This signed Please Please Me comes with a letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA (see image) and is guaranteed to
    be passed any other
    legitimate autograph authenticator.
    No
restoration has been done to this cover, as most of The Beatles signed album covers you’ve seen are. I prefer to keep the signed album covers that I’ve collected over the years in their original state. Both front and rear panels are in beautiful condition, so if you choose to have this cover professionally restored to your liking, it will clean up quite easily without affecting the signatures. Again, I personally prefer these signed Beatles album covers in their original state and this one would look awesome displayed.
There is some normal wear and light marks to the cover itself nothing earth
shattering or that affects the autographs as you can
see in the scans. Comes with the original Parlophone fourth pressing record (pressed from the summer of 1963 until January 1964) which is accurate from the time that this Please Please Me record was signed by The Beatles for Geraldine and Colleen. This also comes with
the original EMITEX inner sleeve which is in pretty nice shape.
